It's a great time of year to be a horror fan. Halloween is all about pumpkins, candy, and a fear of the atmosphere, and Behavior Interactives Dead by Daylight has this in abundance. The developers are gearing up for big Halloween-themed events and updates. Logging in during the new Dead by Daylight The Midnight Grove event will give players a chance to celebrate the season.
Midnight Grove is the name given to the Halloween Dead By Daylight event, which will take place from October 21 to November 4. Players will be surrounded by special themed hooks, generators, and other themed items, all available through Bloodweb. It's not short of spooky loading screens, decorations across multiple maps, and a spooky Halloween lobby. The Midnight Grove event welcomes a new Survivor, Mikaela Reid. The event will be packed with rewards, challenges, an alien atmosphere, and special stories written by Mikaela herself. Fans can expect new interactive lanterns around the map for the duration of The Midnight Grove event. Destroy them to complete specific Event Tome challenges, earn Bloodpoints, and roll the dice for a little trick or treat each time in the form of a minor speed buff / debuff. Both survivors and killers can find and interact with these pumpkins.
The Dead by Daylight The Midnight Grove also brings with it special outfits and charms that can be unlocked during the two-week event. Fans can look forward to unlocking Dead by Daylight cosmetics like Mikaela Reids 'Witch Hour outfit, a witch costume that Mikaela wore on stage at the Endless Halloween Festival, and The Doctors' extra spooky transplant outfit. Fans can also unlock charms for their character, such as a black tin with a witch hat. The event also launches Dead by Daylights Tome IX: Crescendo, and includes three all-new Dead By Daylight stories. Two of which will intersect with each other, showing different perspectives of an event. Players will experience All-Kills Trickster (killer) and Yun-Jin Lee (survivor) as a kidnapping that creates two separate trips for each other.
Dead by Daylight also offers players a sinister 666,666 Bloodpoints single sign-on reward just for starting the game, whether you're a new player or a long-time fan. However, for anyone wanting to start Dead By Daylight, now is the best time. The game will run in a free trial on Steam, Playstation, Xbox, and Stadia from October 21-25. Fans should also keep an eye out for Dead by Daylight at the For Honors Halloween, Survivors of the Fog event.
